About Us
Manuel & Louise Vasquez opened the store in 1995 after retiring from Safeway. Manny Jr. was born in Manitou in 1969 when his dad was stationed at Ft. Carson. The family moved to California and his parents returned to Colorado in 1995. Manny Jr. was a fireman in California and returned to Colorado in 2001. In 2007 they gave us (Manny Jr. & Leslie Vasquez) a chance to purchase the candy store and keep it in the family. We jumped on the opportunity and took over candy store June 1st 2007. My husband quit his job at Pepsi and I Quit my job at Security Service F.C.U. after 16 yrs to work fulltime at candy store.
We absolutely love our job and have fun working. Each day we look forward to giving the best customer service to all our customers from all over the world. Customers can expect friendly service and plenty of free samples of our specialty items. We enjoy watching our customers of all ages act like a kid in a candy store while moving to the grooving music.
We have a sweet job! This is a true mom & pop candy store. Manny and Leslie are known as the Candy Man and Sugar Mama of Manitou Springs, Colorado.
